Service Opportunities

Service Opportunities

For decades, we have sent students all around the country and the world to experience and participate in God's work, but the work is also right here, right now, and there are plenty of opportunities to serve the community immediately around us. These are just a few of the many partners we serve alongside with, and they are always looking for people to come alongside them as they work to serve the community.

Lighthouse Ministries

Lighthouse Mission works throughout Whatcom County to break the cycle of homelessness in the lives of people experiencing it. Because of the generosity of people like you, those in need can come to the Mission for nutritious meals, safe shelter, and one-on-one case management.

The Resilient Project

We exist to equip and empower youth in under-resourced communities so that they can rise above their circumstances and reach their highest potential; we are committed to helping them identify and develop their gifts so that they can walk in the calling that God has for them.

Skookum Kids

There is a place for everyone in the work of repairing foster care. Whether as a foster parent, volunteer, advocate, or mentor, your skills and giftings could be used to make a huge impact on the kids in our city. If you have a heart for kids, and share the vision of a more resilient community, we would love to meet you.

Whatcom Love Inc.

Whatcom Love Inc. main focus is serving people in the community and bringing that service directly to them. Whether it be cleaning out a garage, helping someone move or just spending an hour with someone that could use a friend. They serve the marginalized people in our community that may not have the resources they need get every day tasks done on their own.

Royal Family Kids Camp

RFK exists to create life-changing moments for children who have been or are currently in the foster system. We give them a week long summer camp where we create moments that matter and treat them royally!

Whatcom County Pregnancy Clinic

For over 25 years the Whatcom County Pregnancy Clinic has been dedicated to educating, equipping, and empowering individuals and families facing an unplanned pregnancy. We offer a compassionate and confidential environment for patients to be heard and to receive evidence based information and medical care. All of our services are free of charge. As a small, non-profit ministry, our clinic depends heavily on volunteers. 60% of our services come from volunteers who graciously serve as advocates or administrative support. Volunteers make this ministry possible.

Southside Food Bank

The only qualification to participate in our food bank is that you show up! More than just a food bank, we’re a community outreach providing a place of home, hope, and hospitality.
