The Staff


Brady Bobbink

Brady Bobbink, Director, has been a campus pastor at Western Washington University for over 40 years. Brady began the first Chi Alpha internship program in 1977 and has been privileged to help disciple and send hundreds of students into ministry all over the world. Brady is married to Shirley and they have 4 children and a growing number of grandchildren.

Kellie Cannedy

Kellie grew up on Whidbey Island and graduated from Western with a degree in Fine Arts and English Literature. Kellie joined staff in 2010 after completing the internship program. Kellie gets overly excited about creative ideas and when not on campus mentoring students, you’ll likely see her running around town. Literally. She’s a runner.


Danielle Debruine

Danielle grew up in Ferndale, WA, was a student leader in CCF at WWU and graduated with a degree in Music and a minor in Psychology. Danielle keeps all the giving records in order as UCM’s part-time bookkeeper. She enjoys singing on Hillcrest Chapel’s worship team, walking with her dog – Brewster, and all things football! Danielle has 2 kids – Colton & Natalie.


Cameron Harris

Cameron is a pro when it comes to Human Services.  This combined with his love for Jesus makes him a great campus minister.  You only need to be around Cameron for a few minutes to know that he wants to make Jesus known in the world.


James Junior

James Junior grew up in Kent, WA. He graduated from WWU with a degree in Sociology and a minor in music. After graduating James completed the Internship program with CCF and then joined staff. As well as working with student leaders he loves working with worship leaders and technology! James is married to Janelle and they have three kids, Estelle, Emmelise and Ezra.


Shanon Kempt

Our resident meat-lover, Shanon Kempt where she played softball and earned a degree in Education. Shanon’s passion for ministry to college students comes out of her own experience in college when she dedicated herself to the Lord, stepped into various roles in ministry, and was blessed to have many people pouring God’s life into her.

David Knebel

David Knebel was a dynamic student leader in CCF at WWU before graduating with a degree in Education. For the past 20 years David has served as a Chi Alpha campus evangelist and pastoral mentor. He is passionate about Jesus and loves to encourage others to make Jesus known. David is married to Shelley and they have three sons and a daughter.


Jonathan & Liz Lytle,

Jonathan Lytle grew up in Seattle, WA and Liz in Spokane, WA. In a Spanish class at Western their worlds collided, and they have been reaching international students together ever since. They both are passionate about seeing Jesus transform every nation on earth and love being part of that process.  Liz is also a nutrition expert, and Jonathan is currently learning Arabic.

Geoff & Jessica Mumley,

Geoff came to us all of the way from Africa.  He grew up in Kenya and came to WWU for college.   He quickly got involved in CCF and has never left.  Jessica is the administrator for the our internship and keeps us all organized. Their house is fun and full with 3 kids, Owen, Jack, and Maya.


Michelle Phillips

Michelle is a passionate and adventurous follower of Jesus.  She loves people deeply and relates well with pretty much everyone.  Oh boy, you have got to hear her sing!  She is great at helping others experience God through worship and prayer!

Julie Sessions

Julie was one of the original student leaders of CCF while attending WWU. After graduation, she and her late husband Scott pastored a church in Bellingham for 25 years and also homeschooled their children for 14 of those years. She loves to help others discover and live out their life goals and God’s plan for their lives. She’s an avid gardener and is especially fond of her two grandkids.
